“Wanderbelle” is written from the perspective of a not entirely human character who has been slighted by her love interest. Feeling betrayed and trapped in this one-sided relationship, she invites her lover to let go of control in sweet whispers, hinting at the havoc that will ensue if she is released with the words ‘Submit to this oblivion’.

Lyrics

You fear me
You know that you can’t keep me hidden
You barely know me
But I know that I’ve been forbidden

But what could be so bad
If you were to relax
And finally let go of me?
Oh, what could be so bad
If I came out the cracks
And took over your sanity?

You enslaved me
And now you better fear me, human
Fear this oblivion

Fear this oblivion

Fall asleep, love
Oh, let me free, love
Fall asleep, love
Oh, let me free, love

You played me
Your lips they were a perfect prison
See, you left me insane when
You left to play your games with other women

But why should I feel sad
When I can just get mad
And subject you to my agony?
Oh, I’ll make you understand
In all that I have planned
That you nurtured this lethality

You see you hurt me
But now you better fear me, human
Fear this oblivion

Submit to this oblivion

Fall asleep, love
Oh, let me free, love
Just fall asleep, love
Submit to this oblivion
